8 Months!
Posted: May 5th, 2010 | Author: Lisa | Filed under: Uncategorized |Dear Ziggy,
Your Aunt Amy was passing through town last week and made a point to come and spend the day with you. You had a good time with her and really enjoyed checking out her pretty tattoos.
She made you a bunch of new little friends. Aren’t they adorable?
This photo is from last week at playgroup. We haven’t gone out this week because you caught your first major cold. It was only a matter of time. And oh, guess what? I caught it too. Achoo! I better get used to having a bunch of new cooties around.
Here’s a little update on what you’re doing now, at 8 months of age:
You crawl.
You like to do downward dog and pull up on the furniture.
You like to get a little too daring and end up toppling over on your noggin.

Luckily we bought you a nice, safe, pen to help keep these bumps down to a minimum. I almost bought you a helmet one day but people talked me out of it. That would’ve been so embarrassing.

Hmmm. What else do you do?
You’ll hold a sippy cup sometimes but will not hold your own bottle (ARGH!).
You can pick up and eat cheerios. You let me feed you chunks of smooshed banana by hand. You like sushi rice and avocado. You’re getting more interested in finger foods.

You say “Mama”, “Dada”, and “NANANA” (this one means NO!).
You’re turning into a little gentleman!

All these new developments are fun and everything, but can you try to slow it down a little with all this growing up?

It’s going by way too fast. I miss my little squishy sack of potatoes baby boy.

Funny, Jack had so many bumps and bruises on his head for a while that we thought about the helmet thing too. We talked ourselves out of it too as we knew he would look “extra special”.
