Feed them, Change them, Love them

Dear Ziggy,

Up until about a week ago we’d been keeping track of every single thing that you did. I was a tad obsessed with logging your every move(ment) and it had gotten to the point where all the joy of taking care of you was being sucked out of each day. So we stopped. And guess what? You’re still alive! It’s not like you don’t tell us when you need something. We don’t need some spreadsheet to help us figure it out! You cry if you are hungry or have gas. You rarely cry for a diaper change. We know how to tell if you’re doing fine, and you’re doing fine. First time parents can get a little nutty sometimes but I think we’ve moved past that frantic stage and are starting to settle down and be comfortable with taking care of you. And more importantly, we are enjoying taking care of you.
