Fortunate Son

Dear Ziggy,

Look at that face! I got to see you this week, and it was amazing. I now have a bunch of pictures of your beautiful face and this picture of your sweet profile.
In this shot, you are making the same exact expression your Daddy makes when he’s trying to get me to laugh. It made my day and my week when I saw this!

Faces aside, if you are anything like your Dad I will be so happy. He is one of the kindest, most wonderful people I know. I don’t think there is a single mean bone in his entire body. You are already the most fortunate little baby in the universe.

The Doctor told me you weigh 4 pounds and your head is already down and in position for delivery. You’re ready to go! I am hoping you’re just as excited to meet us as we are to meet you. I know it must be warm and cozy in there but there is so much out here for us to show you. I can’t wait to share everything with you and for the 3 of us to be a family. I’m going to try to start preparing my heart in the next few weeks because I just know it’s going to burst wide open when you get here.
