One Ingredient

Time is zipping by now, and there’s so much left to do. Our lives will soon change forever, and I know we’ll never be completely prepared for that. But it doesn’t stop me from wanting everything to be perfect for when you arrive.
All of the stuff - the baby registry, getting the apartment ready, taking the childbirth class and the breastfeeding class and the infant CPR class, buying a car, reading a million books, the quilt I’m sewing for you - well, all these things are important, and make us feel better.
But the one ingredient we need the most we already have - buckets full of unconditional love for you, sweet baby. That’s all you really require.
